Kris's Story

Belinda & Kris — Two hearts that refused to be left behind. ??

Belinda and Kris arrived at our rescue in a state that still makes us ache to remember. Found in Kentucky and taken into an overcrowded shelter, they were scared, tired, and heartbreakingly placed on the euthanasia list simply because there wasn’t room. Luckily, fate (and a lot of love) intervened, and they were brought here together.

They’re a true bonded pair — Kris, a playful 2-year-old Chihuahua, and Belinda, a gentle Boxer mix — who have been inseparable since the moment they met. Kris is all pep and mischief: he adores his ball, loves to romp, and has a tiny howl of joy for playtime. Belinda is his calm counterpart: patient, tender, and endlessly affectionate. Together they balance each other perfectly.

Both of them are incredibly sweet and social — great with other dogs, comfortable around cats, and wonderful with kids. They’re not just pets; they’re family-ready companions who love cuddles, car rides, and long slow walks where they can sniff the world together.

This is a super special case: Belinda and Kris cannot be separated. Their bond carried them through the darkest moment, and now they’re looking for a forever home that will keep them together — a family who understands that double the love is double the joy.

If your home has space in heart and life for two devoted friends who’ve already beaten the odds, Belinda and Kris would love to meet you.
