Kringle Collie Chantilly, VA

Kringle has found a new home with a great family in Germantown, MD. He hit the jackpot with a couple who will give him a great home!

This handsome guy, Kringle, was picked up by animal control and we took him into Collie Rescue, Inc. We think he is about 6 years old. He came in with a bite wound and tested for heartworm positive, so we took a few weeks to nurse him back to good health. Due to his heartworm treatment, he cannot be neutered for another six months.

Kringle's been living in a foster home during this time, and they report he has been a wonderful boy! His foster family says he is perfectly content to just follow around his people, accept belly rubs, and take snoozes around the house. In fact, he is a fairly calm pup and doesn't need a daily walk to burn off energy. When he does go on a walk, he enjoys meeting new people and seeing new places. Since he is the only dog in his foster home, we don't know how he is with other dogs. For that reason, we are hoping to find Kringle a home where he can be the one and only dog - getting all the attention he deserves.

Kringle is very well-behaved -- no mischief, chewing, or accidents to report! He also knows how to sit on command and give paw. He stays in a crate at night and when he's alone at the house, and does not seem to mind the crate. He is extremely food-motivated and thus likes to hang around the kitchen. He is calm and fairly confident (storms don't scare him!), and he also has become a decent watchdog who barks if he sees other dogs pass by the house. With his mellow demeanor and good manners, his foster family thinks he will be a GREAT companion around the house. Given that we don't know how he will do in a home with other pets, we hope to find him a home without other dogs or cats.
