He’s house- and crate-trained, incredibly smart, and treat-motivated—he already knows “sit”. Kraft has a moderate energy level and loves his chew toys and ropes, yet he’s happiest curled up on a soft surface or in a lap for belly rubs. He’s a true love bug and exceptionally affectionate with people, enjoying car rides and every chance to be close. On outings, Kraft has shown great leash manners, and has done great when he’s seen other dogs on outings. If you’re looking for a loyal, trainable, and all-around wonderful companion, Kraft is ready to join your family and fill it with love.

Specific animals get adopted quickly: *Puppies *Kittens *Small Breeds *Pure breeds We are the municipal shelter for the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County. This means that we cannot hold animals for interested parties. It also means that many of our adoptable pets are strays and we don’t have any background or personality notes about most of them. Our advice is to come to our adoption center and meet the pet you are interested in asap.
