Kota Shepherd & Husky Mix Billings, MT

Kota is an almost 2 year old shepherd/husky mix. She was adopted out as a puppy but recently returned due to her family moving out of state. She is a sweet girl with her humans. She has many fears, which have caused her to be skittish especially around new people and kids. She would prefer a quieter home with adults and very few visitors. She likes to play with the young foster pups but can get a bit too rough. She is getting better at playing with her foster siblings but still has some anxiety. She is very interested in the cats and kittens in her foster home and sometimes is a bit too rough. She'd do best in a home without cats. Her previous family took her to puppy classes where she learned sit, stay, and leave it. She is potty trained and uses the doggy door all the time. She LOVES her food and treats. She will go in a crate when no one is home but is VERY eager to get out once her foster mom comes out. Her foster mom thinks all the other dogs and fosters make her more on edge and she just wants to be near her foster mom. She will need a quiet, patient home that understands her anxiety and fears. She would greatly benefit from behavior training especially when dealing with strangers and visitors. We know in the right environment that Kota will be a good companion dog.

Her adoption fee is $75.00. She is spayed and is up to date on vaccinations including rabies. You must have a fenced yard or live in the country with safe acreage for exercise in order to adopt from us. We require that our dogs be allowed in their family home and be allowed to sleep inside at night. We require an adoption contract to be completed and signed at the time of adoption.
