Kong (156075) (In a Foster Home)

Kong is a 7-ish year old Lab/Hound mix who was found roaming with another dog — and while we don’t know his full story, it’s clear he’s been someone’s beloved companion before. Now, he’s hoping to find a new family who’ll love him just as much (maybe with a bit more lap space!).<br/><br/>At 77 pounds, Kong is a gentle giant who doesn’t quite realize how big he is — he’ll happily try to climb into your lap for cuddles! He walks nicely on leash, takes treats with impressive gentleness, and appears to be house-trained or at least kennel-trained.<br/><br/>Kong has done well with other dogs during his time at the shelter, though he can get a little humpy in play. He’s respectful when corrected and enjoys making friends, often initiating play with a classic bow and his signature “talking” — he’s got a lot to say, especially when he’s happy!<br/><br/>Kong is the total package: sweet, silly, and full of love to give.
