Kona's Story

Kona is an approximately 7 year old, spayed female, Rottweiler; Kona weighs approximately 104lbs, is fully vaccinated, and is microchipped. From the moment this sweet girl entered our rescue she has sought out every single person she meets for attention and some belly rubs. She is an absolute love who craves human interaction and just loves to be near people. If you’re sitting in a chair, she’ll come up and lean into you for hugs. If you’re sitting on the ground, she’ll roll up right next to you and roll over for lots of belly rubs. If you let her…she’d probably even sit in your lap! We cannot possibly overstate how much of a love this girl is! Kona loves going out to the play yards, and as soon as she’s off leash, she’ll go racing up and down the yard, even playing fetch for a bit. Kona loves going for walks, too, but she’s a big girl, and strong, so you have to have firm control to handle her. We are working with her both on her obedience, and leash commands; she doesn’t seem to have had much training on either, especially walking on a leash, but she seems to be a quick learner, and an eager student. We highly recommend continued obedience training to help Kona bond with her new family and reach her full K-9 potential! If you’re looking for a big cuddly Rottie with lots of love to share, please come in and ask to meet Kona!
