Kolt's Story

Hi, I'm Kolt. I'm eight months old, a tan lab mix, and currently tipping the scales at a solid 50 pounds. I think life’s pretty good these days!

My favorite thing in the whole world? Chew toys! Seriously, if it’s made of rubber and remotely chewable, I’m all in. I also love car rides, even though they used to make me nervous. Now, when the big metal beast starts rumbling, I know adventure awaits! There are some things I'm not so fond of. Loud noises are definitely on that list. Hair dryers, lawnmowers, anything that roars and whines sends me scurrying under the nearest table. Talk about scary!

My foster humans are great, but I think they underestimate my energy levels. I really need a fence in my forever home because I love zooming around and exploring. It's much more fun than being cooped up inside.

I get a little excited sometimes, and I might still do a little puppy nipping. I don’t mean any harm! The humans say it's because I'm still learning. They think older kids, the ones who know how to distract me with a good toy, would be perfect for me.

Speaking of learning, I think I could use some training. I try my best, but sometimes I just get too excited. Fun fact: I seem to listen better when a man's voice is telling me what to do. Maybe it's because they sound so certain!

So that's me, Kolt. A work in progress, full of energy, and always up for a good chew toy. I’m still figuring things out, but I'm ready for whatever comes my way, as long as it doesn’t involve a hair dryer!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
