Kodiak 's Story
Meet Kodiak
Born July 13, 2025

Kodiak is a handsome Husky/Heeler mix with brains, energy, and a whole lot of potential. He’s up to date on all vaccinations, microchipped, and will be neutered on the 19th of this month—ready to start his next chapter!

Kodiak is great with other dogs, but like many young, confident pups, he’s still learning social boundaries. If another dog doesn’t correct him, he can be a bit persistent, so he’ll do best with dog-savvy canine friends or a home willing to manage and guide those interactions. This boundary-pushing is unfortunately what led to his surrender, but with structure and continued training, he’s set up to thrive.

He grew up with cats and does well with them, and he’s okay with kids. Kodiak enjoys being outside and can be a digger when he gets bored, so an active home that can provide enrichment, exercise, and mental stimulation will be his happy place.

Kodiak already knows sit, lay, and wait, and he’s eager to learn more—he’s a smart boy who will shine with consistent training and engagement.

If you’re looking for an intelligent, outdoorsy companion who’s ready to learn and bond with his people, Kodiak might just be your guy.
