Koda's Story
Meet Koda — Your Future Snow-Day Sidekick!

Fall is here, which means Iowa winter is right around the corner... and you know what that means: SNOW! And honestly, there’s no better way to experience an Iowa winter than with your very own furry friend who comes with serious sled-dog vibes.

Koda is a roughly 3-year-old husky mix who weighs in at about 60 pounds of fluffy, handsome goodness. He’s the kind of guy who is happiest when his people are nearby, the sun is shining, and there’s a light-up ball ready to be chased.

And Koda has been working hard on his good-boy résumé! He is potty trained, kennel trained, and has earned free-roam privileges in the house overnight. Once he feels comfortable with you, he becomes your little shadow — following you around the house and happily curling up in bed for some cuddles.

Of course, no husky bio would be complete without mentioning his VOCAL talents. Koda will howl along with the sirens, talk back to you, and make absolutely sure you know when he thinks dinner should be served. He has opinions, and he is not afraid to share them!

Koda loves: Playing fetch and spending hours with his toys Lounging in the sunshine Going for walks Following his people around Cuddling once he knows you Having a furry friend to hang out with

And guess what? Koda is both DOG AND CAT FRIENDLY! He has been living with both and does well with his furry housemates.

Koda’s one request is a home with kids ages 8+. The unpredictability of crawling babies and toddlers just isn’t his favorite thing, so he’s looking for a family with older kids who understand how to give a dog space and respect his boundaries.

If you’ve been dreaming of a fluffy four-legged adventure buddy, a walking partner, a professional dinner announcer, and someone to experience every snowy Iowa day with... Koda might just be your guy.

Ready to meet Koda? Check him out at adoptapal.org/adopt

Adoption fee is $300
