Koda's Story

CAUTION: you WILL fall in love with Koda!

Charming Koda is 3 years young and weighs 70 lbs. Koda is well behaved in the home and does great on walks. In fact, Koda has been going on lots of adventures with his foster and frequently goes to work with her. He has even been to the beach and he loved catching those waves. Koda is food-motivated and easily directed; food is his language, so he will do anything for a treat: he knows basic commands and is polite in the home. With slow intros to other dogs, Koda is dog friendly.

Koda's Story: Sadly, Koda was found as a stray wandering alone on Staten Island before arriving at the city shelter. He was known as Newark in the shelter, but has been lovingly dubbed Koda with his foster. He is affectionate and loves being touched, pet, rubbed, scratched – and is always ready to snuggle!AmsterDog was able to pull him to safety thanks to his foster, who fell in love with his gorgeous smile and deep, beautiful eyes (he has that effect on people!). He was also around a cat briefly with his original finder and was non-reactive.

Koda is fully vetted, neutered, micro chipped, has basic training and is ready for his happily ever after!

If you can open your heart and home to Koda, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or by e-mail at info@amsterdog.org.
