Koda's Story
Koda was found wandering through a remote area, covered in ticks and unsure of his surroundings. Frightened and nervous, he arrived at the shelter in February 2024, and since then, the team has been steadily helping him come out of his shell.
Now? He’s blossomed into a loving, affectionate boy who lives for gentle pats, fluffy blankets, and chewy dog bones. Koda is a polite treat-taker—soft-mouthed and full of gratitude—and is steadily improving on leash while mastering the "sit" command (especially if treats are involved!).
He’s shown curiosity toward female dogs during walks but can be dog selective. When it comes to feline roommates, though... let’s just say Koda’s stance is clear: dogs rule, cats drool! He keeps his kennel sparkling clean and delights in visits from staff and volunteers, wishing they could snuggle with him all day long.
Koda’s dream home includes a yard to run free in, a comfy spot for blanket-naps, and a human who’ll take him exploring on nature walks. He’s heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations—ready to find a family who’ll shower him with the love he deserves.
Looking for a devoted adventure buddy with blanket-snuggling skills? Koda just might be your perfect match.
