Koda 52367's Story

I’m sorry to say that Koda is at the shelter because his owners could no longer have him in the apartment they were living in, and he had to be surrendered. Koda is a 4-year-old black Labrador Retriever weighing 91 lbs. Yup, he is a big boy but there’s just that much more to love. ?

You will get in Koda what you would expect from a Lab. Friendly, loving, obedient, protective, active with medium-to-high energy. We are told that he is both housetrained and crate trained. You will just need to show a little patience and give him a week or two to adjust to a new home. Koda is good with children of all ages and is playful. He is not possessive of either his food or toys around kids.
Koda is fine with cats and is playful but will chase them. He is also good with other dogs, no matter the gender or size. If you already have a dog(s) in your home, there would be a meet & greet at the shelter.

Koda is used to being walked with a Gentle Leader and we were told almost anyone can enjoy the walks with him. Koda also knows several basic commands like sit, down, stay, and will shake. He is also good with strangers and is everybody’s friend. ?

Folks, you can’t go wrong with a Lab. Especially with one like Koda where you have a good idea what to expect from him after living in a home for 4 years. He is still a young dog that has most of his life left to live and to bring a lot of joy and companionship to a family. Please get Koda out of his kennel and see for yourself what a wonderful dog he is. He just needs his chance.
