Paws Up 4 Rescue's Adoption Policy
1. The first step is to fill out an application on our website PawsUp4Rescue.org/adoptions. This lets us know you are serious about adopting. We will call and check with your vet to make certain your current pets are up-to-date on their vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered. If you rent, we will also check with your landlord to make sure it's okay that you are adding a family member to your household.
2. The next step is to set up a time to meet your potential pet. If you've already met and fallen in love at one of our adoption events, we can proceed to set up a home visit to see how the animal gets along with the other residents of your home.
*Home visits are for the purpose of assessing the relationship between all animals in the home.
3. If all goes well, we proceed to the paperwork stages and end with a new family photograph to share on our Facebook page!
