KODA's Story

Hi! My name is Koda. I am a Border Collie/Shepherd/Husky mix and weigh about 75 lbs. I have medium length fur, moderate energy and a friendly, easy-going demeanor. My foster mom describes me as "extremely smart, loving and loyal".

I enjoy going on walks, playing fetch, or just hanging with my friends. I'm house-trained and know several commands, like sit, come, lay down and shake. I am good with other dogs but sometimes gets excited on leash when wheeled-things or unfamiliar dogs get too close. I am working on improving this behavior, but for the time being, I would do best with someone who is willing to either work with me, or manage when & where I am walked. I'd love to have a yard of my own where I could run & play without getting distracted by loud trucks and barking dogs. I have enjoyed living with two other dogs at my foster family’s home but I don't need a canine sibling to be happy. All I really need is someone who will love me and let me love them!

I am good with people of all ages - including the well-behaved children & toddlers I have met. I am neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on my vaccines and flea medication. Oh, and I have been told that I am a great running partner! (Just in case you are you are looking for one.)

If you are interested in finding out more about me, or would like to schedule a meet & greet, please contact me current foster mom, Mary, at (707) 342-0711. I am located in Benicia.
