Kobe's Story
Kobe is a 14-year-old mixed breed who weighs around 33 lbs, and please do not let that number fool you. If it weren't for the distinguished white beard, you'd never guess his age.

After spending his entire life in one home, Kobe was surrendered to NYC's municipal shelter when his owner moved and couldn't take him along. That's a lot of change for any dog, especially at 14, but Kobe has handled it with an incredible temperament. He's calm and quiet at home, loves lounging on the couch with you, and is also perfectly happy to give himself a little space when he wants it.

And then there's his playful side. Kobe loves walks, has plenty of pep in his step, and is very serious about a good game of fetch. He's currently recovering from kennel cough, so his walks are still limited, but even on a quick trip around the block he's impressively spry. He's also house-trained. Senior dogs really are the best, and Kobe is making a very strong case for it.

Registered adopters interested in Kobe can email adopt@hbrdogs.com for more info.
