Koala has lots of energy and loves to run in the shelter's play yard. She is a very sweet girl who is treat-motivated. Koala loves to chew on Nylabones and other chew toys. She loves to go for walks. Koala Lou may be ok with other dogs after a slow introduction. Unknown with cats. Children 12 years old and older. Her forever home is required to have a totally enclosed, physically fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and hang out with her people. She is spayed, vaccines are up to date, on monthly heartworm preventative, as well as house and crate trained. Koala Lou is looking for an active person/family who will take her on adventures, love her, and cherish her for the rest of her life.<br/><br/>All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same-day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6-week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI, to adopt one of our dogs.
