Knicks's Story
Meet Knicks! Knicks has a perfect pink nose and is 12lbs and three years old. He was originally rescued in Texas. He's a good boy whose personality really starts to shine when he feels settled. He's an ideal companion dog, happy to trot around the block and supervise WFH days. He's ready to meet his forever people!

His foster says:

"Knicks is a gentle, affectionate little guy steadily adjusting to life in the city. He’s still learning the rhythm of NYC — the sounds, the traffic, the bustle — but he’s already showing progress and growing more confident every day.

He walks at a great pace and could easily keep up as a light jogging buddy. Indoors, he’s calm, quiet, and rarely barks. If left alone, he may whine briefly but settles down quickly once he knows you’re coming back.

Knicks loves touch and affection, often asking for cuddles and giving sweet kisses when he feels comfortable. He’s gentle and expressive — sometimes a little mouthy in play, but never rough. Despite being a cuddle bug, he also enjoys his independence and will happily curl up in his own cozy spot when he wants downtime.

Knicks would thrive in a patient, loving home that can offer a calm routine, soft affection, and steady reassurance as he continues to bloom. He’s house-trained, quiet, and endlessly endearing — the perfect mix of affectionate and easygoing."

Knicks tested positive for heartworm and was treated before leaving Texas.

INTERESTED IN ADOPTING?
To adopt Knicks, apply on our website www.truenorthrescue.org/adopt and email adopt.truenorthrescue@gmail.com to follow up on your application.

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL TO ASK IF HE/SHE IS AVAILABLE.
