Klaus's Story

This is KLAUS, a lively 1 year old, 64 lb. puppy with a heart full of love, very playful but a little shy in the beginning. He is very gentle when playing and a joy to be around. He already knows how to sit! He is curious about everyone he meets. Once he gets to know you he loves to climb in your lap for rubs and loves to give kisses. He gets along with cats and other dogs too. He would do best in a home where the kids are 12 and up, for fear that he might knock over the little ones. This gentle soul is eager to share his affection and playfulness with everyone he meets. With Klaus, every day is a new adventure filled with love, laughter, and endless fun. Why adopt Klaus? His boundless love and playful spirit will turn your house into a home, filling it with warmth and joy.

If you already own animals, they must be up to date on their core vaccines, including but not limited to rabies and other current preventions. We also perform meet & greets between all dogs and family members in the household. If a cat is present in the home, we must perform an in-shelter ‘cat test. Although Marion County has no law limiting the number of pets allowed in a home, HSMC will not adopt more than two domestic animals at once and will not adopt to a household that already owns seven or more domestic pets. You cannot currently be in violation of the animal control ordinance, and you cannot have had any serious animal control ordinance violations in the past.
