Kiwi's Story

It’s Kiwi Fun Loving Dog Friendly Girl! Are you my Forever!
I was all dressed up for Christmas hoping to find my forever, but no one came! But it’s a New Year and I just now my people are out there!

She is a female husky / shepherd mix, about 50 pounds and 2 years old

Kiwi, affectionately nicknamed Krazy Kiwi, has more energy and goofiness than any other dog at our rescue At less than six months old, our silly girl found herself on the euthanasia list at Maricopa County Fortunately, a rescue stepped in to save her life, however, she spent the next year bouncing around between various foster homes and adoptive homes, until she was ultimately transferred to our rescue (Stay With Me Animal Rescue) in December 2022. With us, Kiwi has definitely become a better version of her kooky self, BUT being and a young pup and never having a stable home or person to guide her, she did still have some work ahead of her! That being said, we sent her to a board+train.

Kiwi loves the water and playing with other pups! A Husky lover that understands this amazing breed, a house with a pool and a doggie playmate or two would surely make her world go round (especially larger breed male dogs, as Chance and Trigger are Kiwi’s best friends at our rescue) Kiwi not only comes with her life love loving, happy attitude but with training too!

She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and fecal tested

To meet Kiwi please fill out an application on our website staywithmeanimalrescue.org

Last Chance Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation's Adoption Policy
We like using a "Foster to Adopt" system, meaning that homes will do a trial run for 2-4 weeks to ensure a good fit before signing any officially adoption paperwork. This helps both your home and our dog take off the pressure and get to know each other! Remember the Rules of 3 (days, weeks, months). The dogs safety is our number one priority and we do dog training and first introductions to assist the transition. All applications must speak with both a volunteer team member and our rescue director to make sure all information is gathered and questions answered. We have a pre-screening foster application as well as an official adoption contract.
