After breakfast and a potty break, she transforms into a bouncing ping-pong ball of joy — sprinting laps around the house, hopping from room to room like an excited child on Christmas morning. Her zoomies are legendary, and her goofy little antics will keep you smiling all day long.

After her burst of morning energy, she settles into a series of mini-naps until late morning, when it's time to head outside to potty and explore the world. Toys, chews, and playful dog friends are her favorite ways to burn off energy. Sit on the couch and you'll instantly have a snuggle buddy; if another dog wants to play, she's absolutely over the moon.

By evening, Kiwi is the perfect little cuddle companion. She enjoys dinner around five, then alternates between toy tosses, belly rubs, and cozy time. Around 8 PM she curls up on a pillow, and by 9:30–10 she's ready to settle into her crate for the night — where she sleeps soundly. On the rare night she wakes up to potty, she happily snoozes beside her human afterward.

Kiwi's Personality

Kiwi is equal parts affection and energy. She's quick, bouncy, playful, and occasionally mischievous in the most endearing way — yes, she may hide your shoes for fun! She has that delightful “foxy attitude” and a spark that makes her unforgettable.

She's incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already knows voice and hand commands. She's still working on housetraining and manners, so a family ready to continue positive reinforcement will help her shine. With love and guidance, she's well on her way to being the perfect addition.

What Kiwi Needs

Kiwi will thrive in a home that can match her fun-loving nature. Her ideal home includes:

A playful dog companion — this girl LOVES to play
A securely fenced yard — she runs, zooms, and chases with pure joy
Someone home often — she needs a family that is often home or prepared to have a dog walker come in during time away for 3+ hours, or to send Kiwi to a doggy daycare for those longer days
An attentive family — she's speedy and curious, so door awareness is a must

She is friendly, approachable, loves attention, and adores belly rubs. She's also beautifully crate-trained overnight.

Why You'll Love Her

Kiwi will make you laugh daily, keep you active, and snuggle like a pro when the day is winding down. She's a joyful mix of silly, sweet, spunky, and soft — the perfect blend for anyone seeking a dog who brings sunshine wherever she goes.

Ready to fall in love with Kiwi?
She's ready to bounce her way into your home and heart!

Medical Note: Kiwi received a Pro Heart 12 injection on September 17, 2025. Pro Heart 12 protects against heartworm disease for 12 months. She will only require Nexguard each month for flea/tick prevention until August 2026. For September 2026, she will require a new prescription for Nexguard and Heartguard or Advantage Multi for year-round ongoing preventative treatment.

Kiwi tested positive for Ehrlichiosis which is a tick-borne disease. Kiwi is currently being treated with Doxy and will be done in a week. Her prognosis is good since it was caught so quickly. Kiwi should stay on flea and tick preventives year-round to ensure that she does not get bit again. Her adopters should also read up on the signs and symptoms of ehrlichiosis.

Some information adopters for Kiwi should take into consideration:

Prevention

Tick control is key: Use tick preventatives like topical treatments or oral medications to kill and repel ticks.

Environmental control: Reduce ticks in your dog's environment by keeping grass short and removing leaf litter.

Regular checks: Inspect your dog for ticks after they have been outdoors.

Prognosis

The prognosis is good for dogs diagnosed and treated early.
