Meet Kiwi. If you are looking for a best friend and a true companion, Kiwi is your girl. Kiwi had a rough start at life and, as a result, is just so grateful for companionship and a place to rest her head. She is a laid back girl who is very mature for her age.
Kiwi absolutely loves people! As far as activity goes, she will be happy with daily walk or two and will happily spend the rest of the time lounging. Kiwi knows she’s been rescued and shows she appreciation by cuddling or softly and affectionately looking into her foster’s eyes. Her favorite thing to do is snuggle on the couch and watch T.V. She is just such a special, sensitive, and affectionate girl who is looking for love.

Unless otherwise indicated, all Double Dog Rescue dogs have received the following before being available for adoption:
Thorough veterinary examination
All routine annual vaccinations, including Rabies, DHLPP, Bordatella (kennel cough), Heartworm Test, Fecal Test, Deworming
Spay/Neuter
All dogs are quarantined for two weeks outside of the shelter (puppies four weeks) to ensure they don't break with disease.
VETTING NOTE: Double Dog Rescue completely vets our dogs thoroughly to the best of our knowledge based on communication with our Southern Vets. If anything is brought to our attention, we treat the dog. After adopting the dog, you will be responsible for following up with all vetting going forward.
HEARTWORM NOTE: Dogs who were treated for Heartworm can test positive up to 4-6 months after last treatment. All dogs are immediately put on Heartguard/Ivermectin following the treatment to kill the Heartworm larvae. All dogs should be re-tested after 5-6 months from the last Heartworm treatment.
