Kismet is an approximately 1 year old gorgeous mixed breed spayed female. She is extremely smart. She is house-trained, doggy door trained and kennel trained. She settles down when put in her kennel and likes to sleep with the kennel covered at night.<br/><br/>Kismet is very intelligent and knows how to (and will) break out of plastic kennels, so her foster would recommend a metal kennel for her. She is very high energy and enrichment will be key to keeping her happy. Kismet needs a family who can give her a job or is willing to help her get her energy out in an appropriate manner. She loves people and wants to always be near them. We would not recommend her around young children, as she is still learning manners, personal space, and she jumps when excited. She enjoys belly rubs and head scratches. She prefers to eat in her kennel, which is best due to her resource guarding her food from other dogs. She knows how to sit and return with a recall and is working on down and off. She LOVES to play fetch and is doing well on the drop it command. Fair warning, she does lots of air nipping, especially when she gets excited. She also loves other dogs, but her energy level can be a lot to handle for some. She enjoys car rides and walks, and she is learning to not pull while walking. She is NOT ready to be left out in the house unsupervised. She has an urge to chew on everything, but if given appropriate toys and bones, she will only chew on those. She is fast and will follow you right out the door. We would also recommend a home with no cats. She has been around them, but she will chase them and again, doesn’t understand personal space or boundaries.
