Kira's Story
Only applications for adoption in Durham Region will be considered. Any out of area applications will be disregarded. Please see our website for information on our adoption process. Please note that all questions on the application must be answered fully in order to be considered.

At 4 months old, this beautiful medium-sized Shepherd mix is a quiet, observant puppy with a playful side and a big heart. Kira enjoys exploring new places, playing chase with her foster brother and his friends at the park, and greeting her favorite people with a tail-thumping wake-up call and lots of kisses.

Kira is settling into home life wonderfully. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, takes treats gently, and is learning to ring the bells when she needs to go outside. She's also practicing polite greetings at the door and getting better every day on leash. Like any young pup, she's still working on her potty routine and may have an occasional accident.

This sweet girl loves chew toys, collagen and bully sticks, and a tasty lick mat. Loud noises can startle her, but a little comfort helps her feel safe again. Kira is good with kids and other dogs; her comfort around cats is unknown. And catching tossed treats? Not quite yet-they tend to bounce right off her nose!

Looking for a chill, loving puppy to welcome into your family? Kira may be the one to steal your heart. Submit an adoption application for Kira today-she's waiting to meet you!

If interested, please complete our application form found at https://animalguardian.org/how-to-help/adopting-a-rescue/adoption-applications/. Applications other than the TAGS form will not be considered.
