King is in a loving foster home and not currently at the shelter. Please email adoptions@friendshipapl.org to set up a meet!! <br/><br/>In just one day in foster- King has shown what we all envisioned, he’s SO happy and well behaved in a home. Foster mom said- King listened extremely well, had great manners in the home, house trained, knows many commands, and a truly great dog!!<br/><br/>King, Male, 6 years old<br/><br/>Meet King!<br/>This 6 year old gentle soul is a favorite here at FAPL. He arrived in need of much TLC, and he belongs in a home where he is treated like royalty. King absolutely loves to play fetch! He’s just a fun dog! King weighs 50 pounds and is ready to meet you! He’s such a loving dog, so desperately ready for a wonderful home. Can you give King the castle he so deserves!<br/><br/>Staff and Volunteer Views:<br/>“King enjoyed a day out away from the shelter and was such a star!! He had a spa day in which he was so good for his bath and blow dry, rode great in the car, and visited lots of fun places in the community!! He hung out at LCCC and attended a few classes, as well. What a smart guy! King even watched a pickle ball game! He so belongs in a loving home of his own!”<br/><br/>“He is a very good listener, knows when you tell him no, he also does sit, down and shake. He LOVES to play fetch & his tennis ball is his favorite toy! He has the softest fur and cute floppy ears when he prances with his walk.”<br/><br/>“He is the sweetest boy. He just wants love!! We walked him today. He stays close and gives lots of kisses.”<br/><br/>“King is such a happy guy. He’s so smart and attentive. Plays the best game of fetch!“<br/><br/>“King is my favorite when I spend time volunteering. He’s just such an appreciative dog. It’s like he knows he was given a chance and so appreciates it!!” <br/><br/>No appointment is necessary to adopt. Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, by visiting the shelter. Applications are not accepted in advance, but will be filled out upon adoption. <br/><br/>If you have another dog and/or children in your family and are interested in adopting a FAPL dog, please bring them with you for a meet and greet. Please bring a copy of lease agreement if you rent home/apartment. <br/><br/>All dogs receive one or more vaccinations, a basic veterinary examination, are dewormed, microchipped, and spayed or neutered. Dogs 7 months and older are heartworm tested.<br/><br/>Upon visiting FAPL, if you don’t see a particular dog you are looking for that is on the website, please ask at the front desk.
