King's Story
King was surrendered in MS with Queenie by owners who had to move and were not able to safely keep them, so they opted to find a rescue. Unfortunately, King is heartworm positive.

He's great with other dogs, in his crate, on leash, and in the car. He does get worked up over engine noises outside, so we're hoping to find a long term foster/ permanent adopter who also has a more quiet place for him to live. He does not have any interest in toys (other than to shred them), and is still getting used to being an inside dog (he probably spent his life outside in a kennel).

He needs to begin his heartworm treatment but part of the requirement is to keep calm, and King gets very anxious (pacing, barking, panting hard) when he hears the farm equipment (mowers, etc.) going at his current foster home (even in his crate).

He is available for a foster to adopt home in which he will continue his rescue-sponsored HW treatment.
