Meet King
Hi my names King and I am a young mix, believed to be around 2 years old. I actually had have a very rough journey, but I don't let that affect me. I was once a stray in Florida surviving on my own. Let me tell you, that's not fun! It's like when you send your kids to college, I didn't realize I couldn't do ANYTHING on my own. But I figured it out.. effectively? who knows, but here I am! One day, a lovely family took me in, because their house was full, they asked for help, and an even lovelier woman drove down to save me! My journey up to Illinois consisted of stops at 3 different hotels, in which was awesome! Have you tried those robes? I had a blast on my journey with no issues whatsoever. I mean, talk about resilient… I am the king of it all! (subtle brag)
I am good with other dogs, I currently live with a small senior dog and another dog and I do great with them. I like to play and romp around. I am learning the idea of toys, and Im starting to realize they're pretty neat! I am not sure how I would be around cats though, but if you have one and want to meet me, LSR can find out prior!
I am PHENOMENAL on my leash. If you need a walking or running buddy, I'm your guy! I'm a good boy in my crate and don't mind being in it, I'll even go in with the door open on my own!
My friends from LSR call me a giant goober. Which pretty much describes me in a word. I am extremely affectionate. I absolutely love giving hugs and snuggling on the couch! When it comes to energy, I'm pretty medium. If you want to chill on the couch, I'm game! If you want to go on an adventure, I'm also game! You name it and I'm pretty much there!
I am finally ready to settle down. My Miami Frat boy party days are over!
I hope that you choose to come meet me and accept all my love!

--------------------- About our process and fees
Our application: https://laststoprescue.com/adoption-app/
If you're interested in donating, sponsoring or volunteering please visit us at www.LastStopRescue.com or follow us on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Laststoprescue.il!
We treat these dogs as individuals with needs and to that end all of our dogs will have been in fosters no less than two weeks, they will have at least started training if not attend weekly classes and get daily training at home with the fosters!
Which means our longest residents will be the best trained, as long as they're with us we're going to keep socializing and working through any issues they may have.
When you adopt from us you will have a very clear picture of the dog you're meeting and on going support!
Our Fees are as follows:
Senior dogs over 7 are $450
Adult dogs are $650
Puppies under 1 year are $800
Specific breeds are $900
With each adoption you will be...
1. Given up to four hours of free training (from the foster and coordinator),
a. Some dogs require additional free training hours before they can go home.
2. Full medical report of all findings,
3. All of the supplies needed for a new dog as we attain these for the care of each dog,
4. A full run down on their behavioral status, where they started, where they are and how far is left to go. This will be detailed in a training plan from us about what they can or cannot handle well and it will be discussed as much as needed!
5. On going support post adoption as long as needed!
We fully vet all of our dogs which is reflected in our adoption fee. On average we will pay about 600 dollars in medical per dog. Every dog gets a full blood panel, fecal/urine check, heartworm & tick panel and treatment if required, spayed/neutered, all shots and boosters, along with anything specific to their needs.
