King's Story

All hail King! This 2-year-old Merle-coated monarch is ready to rule over his forever home—not with an iron paw, but with gentle snuggles, a wagging tail and maybe a little slobber too.King has been house- and crate-trained, which means he already has royal manners. He loves walks around his kingdom and beyond! His energy level is a 5/10, making him the perfect blend of “let’s stroll the kingdom” and “let’s lounge in the castle.”He may need some time to get comfortable with his new digs, but each day he’ll get braver and expand his royal territory.King’s favorite pastime? Being with his loyal subjects—you! He also enjoys walks, car rides and anything edible (especially dog treats and dog-safe fruits/veggies—he’s basically the King of Kale). He seems interested in other dogs, so a canine court buddy might help him settle in—but he could also thrive as the sole ruler of your heart if you’re active and engaged. Yard or no yard, he’s happy as long as the kingdom is full of love.If you’re ready for a loyal, loving, food-motivated pup who’s equal parts gentle prince and goofball jester, long live King! This gentleman is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $250. Mpravl.org to apply!

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
