Kimmie's Story
Kimmie, spayed female, 2.5 years old, 49 Lbs.
If you would like to give KIMMIE a forever home, please contact
abetterchancerescue@gmail.com OR log onto
abetterchancerescue.org to fill out online application

About Kimmie
Kimmie is a proactive, friendly, and easygoing girl. She is very attentive to owner’s guidance. When meeting strangers, she is always brave enough to approach them, happily allowing herself to be petted or held. She also takes the initiative to introduce herself to other dogs. Once she gets to know you, she’ll roll over to show her belly for cuddles; when she’s tired from playing, she can settle down quietly right where she is.
Kimmie is a huge food lover! She can "sit" politely to wait for treats and even knows how to "shake paws." She is naturally curious about new environments and loves to explore. When it’s time to go out, she is brimming with excitement, happily sniffing and wandering while on a leash. At the dog park, she lets her lively side shine as she runs around freely.
She enjoys the company of other dogs and is even willing to share her food with familiar canine friends; she never picks fights. As for cats, she prefers to keep a respectful distance. Kimmie is also a great travel companion—she stays calm and steady in the car without motion sickness, sitting quietly in the backseat.
With her high level of obedience, affectionate nature, and desire to always be by your side, Kimmie is the perfect, devoted companion for any family.

Kimmie’s Rescue Story
Kimmie was rescued from the mountainous regions of Central Taiwan.
A professional volunteer, who frequently travels to perform TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) across different regions, discovered a very friendly puppy while working in the mountains. The volunteer immediately posted her story online, hoping someone would adopt her or take over the rehoming process. After some time passed without any leads, the volunteer had no choice but to ear-notch her and release her back into the wild.
Upon seeing the post, “ABC rescue” contacted the volunteer to retrieve the puppy from the mountains. Since then, Kimmie has been placed in foster care, received medical attention, and undergone socialization to prepare her for her forever home.

Please watch Kimmie’s YouTube videos below:
Kimmie interacts well with kid
https://youtube.com/watch?v=IVXKVbT3lCI&si=SK1lgf49D1U4oDej
Kimmie interacts well with dogs
https://youtu.be/--lWq34DNtQ?si=plgT-6IuuqGlDfPs
Kimmie interacts well with stranger
https://youtu.be/KjmsuBNOrss?si=99c4MzJi5FN8QGzq
https://youtu.be/ilMEomlFJmg?si=DI2O2Qek66QKVwdx
https://youtu.be/hY4s7c-FoMI?si=ozzf6_A-VYUL5YKC
https://youtu.be/1OS22DBqUdw?si=FfqKcrfJ4RWwERjj
Kimmie interacts well with cat
https://youtube.com/watch?v=OgShLBlgmJ4&si=DP0C4cDtQNBa9NSk
Kimmie follows the commands well
https://youtu.be/oNkZltsBZxc?si=uwaeL1Pc6E3Q4Gzu
Kimmie has no food aggression with human and dog
https://youtu.be/Xfvx4YERgkY?si=4hj6fMk56NcSjoHp
https://youtu.be/IYCY2Xh7eRs?si=THKHLeokuOUShwJU
Kimmie leash walks training
https://youtu.be/_OoWVStu3H8?si=uAYzYO-rPrAjpE_r

Temperaments:
- SOCIALIZATION -
Social inclination: Enjoys being around humans and dogs
People/Children-friendly: YES
Gets along with cats: Curious, keep respectful distance
Gets along with outside dogs: YES, gets along with other dogs very well
- ANXIETY -
Skittish: NO
Fear of men: NO
Barks when unattended: NO
Chews things up when unattended: NO ( loves rawhide bones, etc.)
- AGGRESSION -
Biting incidents: NO, very close to people
Food aggression with dogs: NO
Food aggression with humans: NO
- DAY-TO-DAY ACTIVITIES -
Energy level: Medium
House trained: Potty outside of the house
Leash-trained: Well trained
Commands learned: sit,hand
Adapts in new environments? 7-10days
Dog gets to go out with foster family in a day: 1-2 walks per day
Good in car: Ride in car well behaved, does not get car sick
