Kid's Story
🐾 Meet Kid — A Loyal, Smart, Velcro Boy Looking for His Person

Kid is a 1-year-old sweetheart with a big heart and a whole lot of potential. He’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply with his person and loves to stick close — a true “shadow dog” who wants to be right by your side through it all.

Kid is doing great with all the basics and is already showing what a smart, eager-to-learn guy he is:

✅ Doing well with house training
✅ Doing well with crate training (after the first couple days settling in)
✅ Walking on a leash is going well
✅ Knows “sit,” “come here,” “no,” and “leave it”
✅ Currently working on “lay down” and improving every day

Kid also lives with other pets in foster care and has been doing well overall with both dogs and cats. He can, however, get a little possessive with high-value items like a toy or bone, and has snapped a couple times in those moments. Because of this, Kid will do best with an adopter who is comfortable continuing his training, using structure and boundaries, and managing items like chews and toys safely.

Kid is also a little unsure of new people at first and can be timid, but he warms up once he feels safe. He has done well with his foster’s 11-year-old daughter, though he may be best in a home with older kids (and not little ones), especially since he can be growly/snappy when he’s nervous.

🚗 Kid is also working through some fear with car rides, but he’s already improving!

Kid is a very sweet boy when he’s calm, and he still has that fun, energetic “young dog” spirit. He would love a home that can give him an active lifestyle, continued training, and a confident person to help him feel secure.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stick by your side and thrive with guidance, Kid might be your perfect match. 💙

📩 Message us to learn more, apply to adopt, or set up a meet & greet if you are already approved!
