Kia's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

“Kia” is a good girl, She loves leash walks and to be pet. She was already spayed when she was rescued so her history is not known other than she was taken to the local kill pound for unknown reasons. A guess would be that she had been a stray and unwanted by the finders. Too many times a rescued pet is a mystery and we have to start from scratch and build a story based on what we see. We estimated her to be around 1-2 years old and seems like she may have been leash walked at sometime during her life, and taught to "sit." She has gotten along quite well with her kennel mate, a younger, high energy dog but would still need to be tested with other dogs in a home before final adoption, first. Approriate acclimation time would be necessary just to be sure of a good match. But so far, she get's an "A" for her toleration of an extremely high energy kennel mate who can be a handfull.
