Khabib's Story

Khabib is a stunning 10-month-old husky who came to us because his owner's housing situation changed. He is a very sweet, loving dog who happily greets everyone he meets. He is young and enthusiastic and could benefit from training, although her does know a few commands. He lived with a female Husky for a few months, and they played together and got along well. We were told that Khabib is usually very curious and gets along well with other dogs. Since we don't have any history on how he is with kids, we will not place him with children under 10 years old. Khabib is UTD on his vet care and was neutered on January 22nd. He weighs 60 lbs.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application here: medfieldshelter.com/adopt

If a dog is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption; however, there may be applications ahead of yours. We typically receive many applications for every dog we post. All adoption meetings are by appointment.

Our dog adoption fee is $450 for dogs aged seven months to seven years old, and $250 for dogs aged eight years and older. Every dog we place receives age-appropriate vaccines, is treated for worms, ticks, and fleas, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and spayed or neutered before adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. Please fill out the adoption application if you would like to be considered for a dog in our care.

With few exceptions, dogs are happiest and well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families willing to commit to both.
