Kerry's Story

Meet Kerry

Miss Kerry is looking for her one and only family.
Kerry is a 4 years old, shy beauty. She is a very special, gentle girl, who hopes through life on three paws. That is right, three. During her stray days something very bad happened to one of her hind legs and it had to be amputated. No worries though! Kerry adjusted to being a tripod very well. You can learn a bit more about caring for a tripod dog here: https://www.thesprucepets.com/three-legged-dogs-4177794
During her time with the foster family Kerry was learning how to be a happy dog and how to trust humans and to enjoy their company. She really came a long way in gaining confidence. To help her on this way she receives antianxiety medication that costs about $50 for 3 months. At the last veterinary follow up, the vet was very impressed by her progress and the plan is to gradually taper down her medication.
Kerry will love to join a loving and patient family. She will not be comfortable in loud, chaotic environment. Her family needs to live in a calm, environment. No family with young kids or family with many visitors may not be ideal for her. She dreams of nothing more that to be by your side and to continue to blossom under their wing. Kerry loves other dogs, ignores cats.
She is currently on GI food, but not because she needs it, she just likes it a lot and her fosters are happy to oblige. She has a fine palette, our girl?.
Here is some summary information about Kerry:
• Spayed female, approximately 4 y.o
• Weight: 12 kg, 43 cm in withers
• Vaccinations- up to date
• Microchip- yes
• Health information: tripod; on anti-anxiety medication (plans to discontinue)
• Housetrained: yes
• Good with dogs: yes
• Good with cats: yes
If you think that Kerry is the dog for you, please complete the following adoption application

https://goo.gl/forms/80uR9C9XoejiZFgm2

Please note that only successful candidates will be contacted.
