Kernel's Story

Hi there! My name is Kernel, but my foster mom affectionately calls me Max—and I kind of like it. I am 2 years-old and I might come off a bit shy at first, but give me a little time and you'll find me curled up in your lap, handing out kisses like it’s my full-time job.

I get along great with the other pups in my foster home (they're all around 35 lbs. and under), and I’ve even had some fun with the neighbor kids! Cats? I haven’t met any yet, so the jury’s still out. I walk nicely on a leash—though sometimes I get a little excited and try to lead the way. A secure yard where I can zoom and sniff would be ideal, and I’d love a doggy sibling to hang out with while you’re out.

Snuggle time is very high on my list of favorite things, so don’t be surprised if I sneak into your arms for a cuddle session.

I’m potty trained, and while the doggie door is still a bit of a mystery to me, I’m getting the hang of it with practice!

Life’s giving me a fresh start, and I’m ready to soak it all in—especially if it involves adventures, soft blankets, and someone to love. Bonus: my ears are ridiculously cute.

Come meet me—I have a feeling we’re meant to be! Please email ADOPT@VALLEYDOGS.ORG to schedule a meet & greet.
