Kermit's Story

Wow! Kermit! Whadda guy! So friendly! So cute! Lookit that waggy tail! Lookit that soft coat! Wow, now isn't that a dog you'd like to take home with you?
Is my subliminal messaging working? I'm not sure I'm doing it right. How about this: !timrek tpoda !yob doog a si timrek
I dunno. Maybe it's just better to come right out with it: My name is Kermit, I'm three years old, and I really, really wanna go home with you.
I'm housebroken, I LOVE walks and completely light up when I see a leash (and I'm an awesome walker, so I hope that means I'll get to go on lots of adventures with you!), and I'm toy-curious. I'm all about making new human friends and I love attention. I can be left alone in the house without misbehaving. Didn't I tell ya? I'm a good boy!
I haven't had much experience with other animals, so I'm not sure yet what I'd think of them. If you have another dog, I'd love to meet them in the shelter and see how we get along before going home with them. If you have a cat, I can stop in and meet the office cats and see how I react. I do know that kids aren't my favorite. The reason I came back to the shelter was that, in my previous home, the neighbor kids would run through my yard and I wouldn't stop chasing them. Self-appointed neighborhood watch, I guess.
So meditate on it. Think of a beach. Think of a cabin in the woods. And think of a mediumish (about 50 lb, but quite rotund at the moment) black dog named Kermit by your side.
Let's make it a reality. My name is Kermit, I'm three years old, and I'm neutered, up to date on shots, and fully vetted.

Please fill out the preliminary at odas.org/canine if you would like to visit Kermit.
