Kenai's Story
Some dogs take a little time to show you who they are... and Kenai is absolutely worth the wait.

When Kenai first arrived at our rescue alongside his sister, Tanana, he was understandably a little shy. Thanks to the love and patience of his foster family, he's blossomed into a sweet, gentle, and incredibly lovable young pup who is ready to find a family of his own.

Kenai came to us from a rural shelter that was struggling with space, and we're so grateful he got his second chance. Today, his personality shines a little brighter every day. He's intelligent, eager to learn, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a joy to have around.

One of Kenai's favorite things in the world is water! Whether it's splashing around, playing with toys, or hanging out with his dog friends, he's happiest when he's part of the action. He loves other dogs and has a wonderfully gentle demeanor. In fact, he's shown himself to be quite submissive, especially with his sister, preferring to make friends rather than stir up trouble.

Kenai is three months old, up to date on all vaccines including rabies and will be neutered on Aug 5th. At around 20 pounds, we expect Kenai to stay on the smaller side, likely topping out around 35 pounds when fully grown. He does well in his kennel, enjoys being part of the pack, and has an adorable little nub tail that somehow makes him even more charming.

Kenai may not have been the first puppy to run up and introduce himself, but once he trusts you, you'll discover a loyal companion with a heart of gold and a playful spirit. If you're looking for a sweet, thoughtful pup who will happily join you on life's adventures, Kenai might just be your perfect match.

Ready to give this special boy the forever home he deserves?
