Keller's Story
Keller is a 1.5-year-old Lab mix who was rescued after being abandoned by his family. He spent five months in a shelter in South Carolina before making his way north on a rescue flight to foster care in Pennsylvania.
Keller is shy, sweet, and affectionate once he gets to know you. He enjoys spending time with the resident foster dogs and can often be found happily sunbathing on the deck. Keller is a pleasure to walk on leash—he prefers a relaxed stroll, taking his time to explore all the interesting smells along the way.
He gets along well with other dogs and truly enjoys their company. Keller sleeps peacefully through the night in his crate and is also comfortable being left in a safe, gated area with other dogs for a few hours.
Because young children can make him a bit nervous, Keller would do best in a home with older kids. He’s looking for a patient and understanding family who will give him the time he needs to settle in, build confidence, and blossom into the wonderful companion he’s meant to be.
