Keepsake (IN FOSTER)

Keepsake is an 11 pound pocket-sized ray of sunshine looking for her forever people. She’s a year or two old and has that adorable “I woke up this cute” look at all times. We think she is a long-haired chihuahua mix, possibly with a little Papillon or Spaniel sprinkled in. Either way, those fluffy ears (one floppy, one not) are just too cute. Keepsake is the best kind of young dog: happy, easy, and fun without being over-the-top. She loves toys and will absolutely play with you or a dog friend, but she’s not the type who’s bouncing off the walls all day. When playtime is done, she switches right into professional cuddle mode. Her favorite place is right next to you, ideally touching someone at all times. In her foster home, Keepsake has been crushing it with potty training and she’s also great on a leash, making daily walks feel easy and enjoyable. She’s social with other dogs and would love a playful pup sibling, but she’d also thrive as the center of attention as long as she gets quality time with her humans. Medically, Keepsake has a low-grade heart murmur and patellas that sometimes luxate in her back legs.
