Keegan-ADOPTED's Story

Keegan is a well-mixed fellow who are we are guessing to be possibly lab & cattle dog. He was taken into foster care from a rural shelter where he had been living for some time. Keegan was actually adopted from that shelter once, but because of his fear of thunderstorms, he was returned. His foster family notices that he is much less frightened of storms as long as someone is home with him - for this reason, we're looking for a family with a stay-at-home mom or possibly a teacher so someone is home during the storm season. Keegan has great house manners, is housetrained, and calm despite his young age (probably 8 months). He's great with all kinds and sizes of people and will be a great family companion. Keegan gets along well with other dogs - though he prefers females over males and small dogs over dogs his own size. He has already mastered 'sit' and is very close to perfecting his 'down.' Keegan is eager to learn, very attentive and responsive to praise. Weighing in at about 30#, he is a nice size dog for anyone looking for an intelligent addition to their family. Keegan is up to date on his vaccines, heartworms negative, on preventive, and he is already neutered.
