Keanu's Story

Keanu is a happy-go-lucky little dude! This sweet senior loves to play with his toys! Keanu also loves to go for walks in the neighborhood and even enjoys car rides! He follows his foster family everywhere they go. Keanu is housebroken as well. He gets along great with smaller dogs and pays no attention to the big ones when he meets them. Keanu does have a chronic condition called Spondylosis in his spine. He is on medication for this and will be for life. This doesn't seem to slow him down but it is why we recommend a home with older children and small dogs so as to not risk injury. Keanu does great on his meds and doesn't seem to be in pain. Barks of Love's Adoption Policy

All potential adopters must fill out an application. Once the application is approved you will be contacted by a volunteer staff member to set up a phone interview. We will require a home check for some dogs. All approved applicants will need to agree to an in-person meeting with the dog they have applied for and a member of our team. If there are dogs in the potential home we will require a supervised meeting to ensure the dogs get along. Currently we limit adoptions to Orange County, CA.
