Meet Kavik, a beautiful 2-year-old, 50 lb. Chow Chow. <br/><br/>Kavik already has many positive characteristics but will need an experienced adopter with an adult only home who will understand & meet his unique needs given his breed & experiences in life thus far.<br/><br/>Kavik was a stray in Texas for many months, evading all attempts to catch him, until eventually being trapped. During his time on the run, Kavik experienced being hit by a car & negative interactions with other stray dogs. He's extremely nervous when leaving his foster home. <br/><br/>Kavik very much enjoys the dogs of all sizes in his foster home and would love to have a confident friend in his forever home. He showed little interest when briefly exposed to a cat. <br/><br/>He's your typical Chow Chow: stubborn, loyal to his people, protective, and wary of strangers. He spends most of his time resting but has the perfect amount of playfulness with toys & other dogs.<br/><br/>A fenced in yard is a requirement to adopt Kavik as he's an extreme flight risk.
