Katy's Story

It’s Katie’s turn to find her forever home!!!

Katie’s wound has healed completely, and she is able to control her bowels by about 90%. Those muscles are still regaining their strength and will be 100% in no time.
Katie is crate trained and we feel like she’s potty trained, considering some bowel weakness still. She has gained about 10lbs since she’s been with us, making her about 43lbs.
This girl is a little ball of fire, as she loves to zoom and spin circles through the house and backyard. She is extremely food motivated and sits pretty for her treats. We lovingly call her our little piranha because she loves to jump up and bite at the air. She can be shy with new people at first, but warms up quickly, especially for treats.
We are pretty sure that Katie is dog friendly, as she was with dogs on the streets and loves her foster friends through the kennels. We are planning on doing some dog introductions with her after her spay is completely healed. We are unsure about cats at this time.
Katie is fully vetted and in the middle of slow kill heartworm treatment. Katie is just so full of life and we are so thankful we could help her continue to live it!!! #adoptdontshop❤️
