KATRINA's Story

Katrina is a terrier mix about 8-10 yrs old. We sat here thinking about what to say for this beautiful girl who wants to please so bad. She bonds quickly. Then I realized just to tell you how it is. Her owner died in the house and his dogs were in the house. Squatters came in and did nothing to help the dogs nor to report the man deceased. Kind neighbors called the authorities and that is how animal control came into the picture. They brought 3 of the dogs to ARF. Katrina being one of them. Upon arriving we noticed she needed to be spayed, dental and also had bilateral hernias. Then she got beat up by two little chihuahuas who came with her from the same home. Since then, she has gotten her very own luxury suite here at ARF while waiting for a forever family. We are not sure of what her real age is we estimate her to be 8-10 yrs old. We have no idea to tell you if she is house broken, so it is a learning game now. She would make a great partner to a couple who had an apartment or motor home. She is still active so she could go on walks or just hang out watching tv. She NEEDS to be the ONLY dog and no young children and no CATS. If you have room in your heart for a senior who has had the deck stacked against her since her owner died Katrina is your girl. She weighs about 20 lbs the picture makes her look small. Katrina would do better as an only dog, and she weighs 20 lbs. Her adoption fee is $150

At this time ARF does not adopt out of state.

How to Adopt a Dog from ARF
Animal Rescue of Fresno is a Volunteer Managed & Operated Dog Rescue.
We are available by Appointment Only.
Adoptions begin with an Approved Application.
You can find the application on our website at www.arf-fresno.com

Application can be found in the drop-down menu above, click "ADOPT"
Mobile users click three lines at top of page to see "ADOPT"
Business Hours: By Appointment Only

We will review each submitted application, then contact the approved adopter via email.
