Katrina is 6 years 7 months (best estimate)Weight: 94 pounds, good with kids, good with dogs, NOT Good with Small Animals (i.e. cats). Katrina came to me on 2/18/12 - Katrina went to the Taylor Made Rescue Rally in Omaha. We had a 2 1/2 hour drive both ways. It took her a while to get settled in to what was going on at the Nebraska Humane Society. She enjoyed lots of attention, and then I put her in a crate. I brought along a blanket to cover it for privacy, a bucket for water, and two stuffed King Kongs. When she relaxed I let her sit out in front of the table to meet potential adopters. We also walked around to visit all of the other groups, including the small breed dogs. July 2, 2011 from East Valley Animal Shelter in Van Nuys,California. She had been on the euthanasia list for the day I called. I had a rescue contact who worked with the shelter and she helped me put a hold on Katrina. We made the arrangements to transport her. The nearest airport that wouldaccommodate her crate and the temperature restrictions was Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport. I drove 6 hours each way to pick here up.She is very friendly around people. On her first night of training class, she encountered little kids and did great. She gets along with most dogs. Introductions are done on leash just in case. I plan to take her to a dog park for more interaction. She is currently in a 6-week training course through PetCo. She is active and loves to play. Her vaccinations are current, she gets Heartgard once a month, and she is microchipped. She is very cuddly even though she is so large. I took her in as a foster dog, and I really want her to find a good home. She is house trained.
