Meet Kato
Please welcome KATO to ARK Charities!!
Kato was surrendered to the shelter when he got sick with URI. Who dumps a dog for having a cold?!
It can’t go unsaid that Kato was painfully thin for his age and size when he found himself abandoned to the shelter in very destressing condition, having been turned in by his family that could not afford or did not care to provide for even his most basic needs and surrendered him to the shelter. When Kato found himself in danger of euthansia ARK Charties was blessed to find a foster agreed to step up and help us with Kato and join him on his rehabilitation journey which began immediately and working with him medically, trying to put quality weight on this gangely teenager he is now 70+lbs today at 1 year old but we anticipate that he still could you another 15+ lbs more. You can tell he is happy to know that he is safe with us now and he will never worry about a missing a meal, not getting proper veterinary care, or be abandoned and unwanted again!
We can’t wait to see Kato filled out and shining like the gem he is. His former owner reported he is good with people , is dog friendly, cat friendly and is even good with cows! Kato s neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, had multiple deworming and microchipped. He is a happy pup that enjoys playing with chew toys and a jolly ball tug and toss is a favorite too. In addition, car rides, meeting new people and dogs, swimming and playing with balls make him so happy as long as he gets to be with you, but at the end of the day he loves to flop down on a soft bed and play quietly with his own toys.
Kato loves people and is looking for his very special person that loves BIG boys and to walk, in a park, the beach or on a hike, he also loves to do some training activities to hon this leash skills that he loves even more when he gets to go to different places, including the mall and like any smart young man Home Depot and Tractor Supply are a couple of his favorities. If you think you would like to have a constant companion to join you on your daily acitivities.
