Katie is a sweet and intelligent gal who loves going on adventures and playing fetch with her people. She has a gentle and soft demeanor and good manners. She knows her basic commands like “sit” and would love to learn more; Training will provide the mental enrichment that she needs to help her settle in to her new home. Going on hikes? She loves it. Hanging out at the house? She can do that too. Katie gets along well with other dogs, although as she is a bit older may not appreciate a spry pup bugging her to play all the time. Her constant smile and adorable appearance are only the beginning of the long list of great things about Katie. Come see for yourself and be prepared to leave with your new best friend! Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe's Adoption Policy

Every pet adopted from the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated & microchipped. Our adoption fees are as follows: Dogs (over four months) = $150 Puppies (under four months) = $200 Cats (over four months) = $75 Kittens (under four months) = $100 Adoption fees will be due upon completion of adoption. Cash, check or credit cards are gladly accepted. Our shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 pm. We are located at 10961 Stevens Lane in Truckee just off Donner Pass Rd. east of downtown.
