Dogs like Kashus, the kind, gentle, truly wonderful ones, are the most deserving of second chances, and we’re so grateful he got his.<br/><br/>Kashus has an exceptional temperament. He loves all humans and all dogs and carries himself with a calm, easy confidence. He is perfectly crate trained, fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and has excellent house manners. He knows some basic commands, listens well, and is one of the gentlest dogs you’ll ever meet. He has no separation anxiety and is incredibly well-rounded, making him an easy addition to just about any home, truly.<br/><br/>One of our favorite things about Kashus is that he knows how to savor. On his freedom day from the shelter, he went to a local brewpub where they made him his very own juicy burger patty. Kashus didn’t gulp it down. He politely laid down, took his time, and savored every single bite. That quiet, thoughtful joy sums him up perfectly.<br/><br/>We’re also completely smitten with his long nose, floppy ears, and irresistible grin. Kashus is fully vetted: neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and treated for heartworms, including ProHeart 12, which provides a full year of heartworm prevention.<br/><br/>If you’ve been searching for a kind, steady, soulful companion, Kashus just might be your dog. Applications will be answered by text within 24 hours.<br/><br/>Adoption process: After your phone screening, we can schedule a meet and greet / the start of your foster-to-adopt trial. All adoptions have a 2 week minimum foster-to-adopt trial to make sure that the pet is the right fit for your home, and vice versa. Kashus' adoption fee is $250, which would be due after the foster-to-adopt period. If you are located outside of Texas, we offer to-your-door transportation and have so many happy families as references. We are very transparent about the process so feel free to ask any questions.
