Karen TX's Story
Karen found herself in a high kill shelter in Texas, not once, but twice. First in 2020 when she was 5. And then again in 2026 at the age of 11. Thankfully, she has joined the Northstar family and is happy to be in a foster home, never to return to the shelter.

Karen is a spry little lady who still has a pep in her step. She weighs in at a whopping 7 pounds. She needs a dental as her teeth are not in good shape and she has what appears to be a mammary mass on her tummy. We will get her to the vet asap and get her health issues taken care of.

She has already met one of the resident dogs at her foster home and was very polite. And her foster mom says she walks perfectly on a leash.

Stay tuned for more updates on this sweet girl!
