Kansas (25-162 D)'s Story

Meet Kansas!

This adorable puppy is a survivor! He beat the odds and survived a deadly parvo infection. Thankfully the local shelter he arrived at quickly recognized the signs and got him safely to the ER. After 3 terrifying days, he turned the corner and has been vibrating with life ever since!

Kansas is fully potty trained and loves his doggie siblings. His foster home has both big and small dogs, and while he does really well with them, he does need slower introductions to new dogs. He would likely do best with a submissive sibling as he does like to be in charge! He does sleep in his kennel at night and [now] goes in without argument, but he certainly would prefer to sleep with his human if that was allowed.

Kansas is around almost a year old now and still has quite a bit of energy. He loves to play and can frequently be found roughhousing with the other dogs. He is still in that puppy face where he is learning boundaries, but has proven to be very smart at learning new commands! While he definitely knows how to party, snuggling is actually his favorite and he gets top marks as a snuggly boy.

The sweet little fellow will make an excellent dog for someone that loves to cuddle and has no qualms about a 40 lbs dog parking himself right on your lap!
