Kaito - Reduced Adoption Fee!

Kaito is currently the shelter's longest resident. He came to MAS in July of 2023, and although he has had a few foster placements and adoption trials, nothing permanent has worked out. We are looking for a patient adopter who can give this sweet senior boy the perfect retirement home. He is approximately 10/11 years old, and thrives on routine.<br/><br/>Kaito is happiest when he is outside in a yard, playing with his tennis balls. Based on his behaviour when he first got to the shelter, we believe he may have previously been housed outside, hence why he enjoys it so much. He loves having a property to patrol, and being able to sun himself in the grass. Kaito completed training with out dog trainer as he had a few quirks when being walked on leash. He has been a model citizen for his handlers at the shelter, and will need someone with dog experience and someone confident in reading dog body language. <br/><br/>Kaito has been cat tested and would do best in a home without them as he has a bit of a prey drive towards them. He can also be selective with dogs; we find he does much better interacting with low energy female dogs, and has not reacted well to meeting male dogs.
