Kai's Story

Kai is 4-month-old chihuahua mix. She is incredibly lovable, sweet, and smart, with just the right mix of playful puppy energy and gentle manners. She doesn’t bark much and is generally a quiet girl, only getting a little vocal when she’s happily playing with her dog buddies. Kai truly enjoys the company of other dogs and seems happiest with a canine friend around. While we haven’t seen her in a home as an only dog yet, she currently does wonderfully living with both dogs and cats. She’s respectful with toys, shares well, and sleeps loose indoors through the night like a champ. Kai has a joyful, friendly personality and plenty of adorable energy, and she loves being near her people without being demanding. One Tail at a Time - West Texas's Adoption Policy

All OTAT-WTX dogs are well-assessed; most become available for adoption after settling into foster homes where we learn loads about them. With rare exception, our pets are fully vetted before becoming available to adopt. Note that there is $150 minimum adoption fee (for dogs and cats and rabbits; if adopting a pair of kittens, the adoption fee is $200). In case of financial hardship, a minimum number of adoption fees may be waived.
